Though each person’s experience is unique, a common thread is that not knowing where emotions come from adds to distress. My hope is to provide a nonjudgmental place to better understand your emotions so that you can gain a sense of control in creating a meaningful life. A meaningful life may involve feeling comfortable sitting alone with your thoughts, the past becoming less haunting, better communication in relationships, feeling productive, or something else. Whatever you are working towards, I am here to support you.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel intimidating. Our first session would involve me learning about the reasons you are seeking therapy and getting background information. I also encourage you to ask me questions to determine if I am the right therapist for you. Should you decide to continue therapy with me, I adjust my approach to help you become your best possible self.
Due to COVID-19, I am currently providing therapy to all clients in IL using telehealth via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
